Okafor out Monday, won't travel to Memphis
Sixers reserve center Jahlil Okafor will not play against the Denver Nuggets on Monday night at the Wells Fargo Center. The 6-foot-11, 265-pound also will not travel with the team to Memphis for Tuesday night's game against the Grizzlies.
Okafor is sidelined with stomach flu.
His absence will leave the Sixers will just one center, Richaun Holmes, when they face Memphis. Joel Embiid will miss the game to rest because he doesn't play in both games of back-to-back situations. Meanwhile, reserve center Nerlens Noel has yet to play this season because of inflamed tissue above his left knee.
Okafor has averaged 11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.2 blocks this season.
