Okafor to come off bench

SACRAMENTO, Calif.  – Jahlil Okafor will play a reserve role Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings at Sleep Train Arena.

The 76ers center is returning after missing the previous two games with a sore rigth knee. The Sixers are going to start small lineup to matchup against the Kings small-ball lineup that freatures Rudy Gay at power forward.  So the Sixers will start Nerlens Noel at center for the third consecutive games. Meanwhile, Jerami Grant will get the start at power forward.

Sixers coach Brett Brown said Okafor will get the start at center on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Noel will slide back to the starting power forward position for the game.

Okafor leads all NBA rookies in scoring at 17.6 points per game.
