Sixers' Dario Saric named rookie of the month

76ers power forward Dario Saric was named the Eastern Conference rookie of the month for February on Thursday.

Saric led all rookies in scoring at 17.0 points per game and was second in rebounds at 7.9 for the month. Among conference rookies, the 22-year-old was tied for second in steals (1.0) and third in assists (2.8).  Saric scored in double figures in 11 of the Sixers' 12 games. He scored 20 or more points in five of those matchups. And Saric had four consecutive double-doubles from Feb. 13-25.

Dallas Mavericks point guard Yogi Ferrell is the Western Conference rookie of the month.
