Sixers announce preseason schedule

The 76ers will open their seven-game preseason schedule against the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center on Oct. 6

The preseason lineup also will include matchups against the Cleveland Cavaliers and Atlantic Division foes New York, Brooklyn and Boston.

The Sixers will host the Cavaliers at the Wells Fargo Center on Oct. 8 (7 p.m.) before facing the Brooklyn Nets at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y. two days later.  The Sixers will then travel to Madison Square Garden to face the Knicks on Oct. 12.  They'll host the Wizards on Oct. 16 (7 p.m.) and head to the Barclays Center to face the Nets on Oct. 18.

The Sixers will close out preseason play against the Celtics on Oct. 23 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester, N.H.
