The 76ers assigned Christian Wood and Carl Landry to the Delaware 87ers, their NBA Development League team on Tuesday.

Landry will not play in any games. The power forward will practice with the team as part of his return-to-play protocol. Landry, who was acquired in an off-season trade with the Sacramento Kings, had surgery on June 2 to repair torn ligaments in his right wrist. He's scheduled to make his Sixers' debut in January.

Meanwhile, Wood is expected to play in Wednesday's game against Fort Wayne at the University of Delaware's Bob Carpenter Center. The undrafted rookie power forward  averaged  3.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 8.6 minutes in 12 games played for the Sixers.
