Sixers extend Alex Poythress
As expected, the 76ers got an NBA hardship exception extension on Tuesday to keep Alex Poythress on the team roster for Wednesday's regular-season finale against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.
The team originally signed him as the 16th player on the roster- one above the allowed limit – on April 2. The Sixers have six players out with season-ending injuries.
He is averaging 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds in five games played.
