Sixers re-sign Thomas

MIAMI --  The 76ers re-signed Malcolm Thomas on Tuesday.

The reserve power forward is in Philadelphia and will accompany the team on the West Coast trip, which begins Friday at the Portland Trail Blazers.

Thomas was waived by the franchise on Nov. 10.  At the time, the 6-foot-9, 225-pounder had been playing with fluid on his left knee.  He was released and had surgery to clean out the knee, which sidelined him four weeks.

Thomas averaged 4.4 points, 2.3 rebounds and 14.2 minutes in five games with the Sixers.
