Sixers waive Gordon, call up Lee

The  76ers waived Drew Gordon Friday in order to call up Malcolm Lee from the Delaware 87ers, their NBA Development League team.

The move was made because the team is in need of a point guard with reserves Tony Wroten and Alexey Shved out with injuries. Lee was one of the last players cut from the Sixers' roster during the preseason.

Gordon, a power forward, averaged 1.9 points and 2.0 rebounds and seven minutes played in nine appearances.  The Sixers called him up from the 87ers in October when Malcolm Thomas was waived.   Like Lee, Gordon was originally waived by the Sixers during the preseason.
