Successful surgery for Sixers' Okafor
76ers center Jahlil Okafor underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Tuesday to repair a slight tear of the meniscus in his right knee, the team said in a statement.
The Sixers said the operation was performed by James Andrews, of the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, and Christopher Dodson, the team's head physician and orthopedic surgeon at the Rothman Institute at Jefferson.
The team said Okafor is to begin his rehabilitation program on Wednesday with David T. Martin, the team's director of performance research and development.
