Sixers' Hollis Thompson likely out for two games
LOS ANGELES -- Hollis Thompson will not play against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night at Staples Arena. The 76ers reserve guard's status for Saturday's game against the Clippers at the same arena is doubtful.
Hollis suffered a corneal abrasion in his right eye in the first half of Wednesday's victory at Sacramento. The Sixers didn't realize something was wrong until he was unable to check into the game early in the third quarter.
Sixers coach Brett Brown thinks Thompson will return in time for Monday night's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Wells Fargo Center.
"They had ultraviolet photo of it," Brown said. "It's quite amazing. You can actually see quite clearly the scratch. I don't think you are going to see him play against the Clippers."
