Want to move and be moved this weekend? Lululemon Walnut St., known for its athletic wear and retreats and festivals, is hosting a free yoga festival at Love Park this Saturday from noon until 6:29 p.m. (sunset).
Called re.viv.al, the afternoon will be filled with music by DJ Sylo, as well as sessions on yoga and meditation. One of the yoga classes will be led by Alexandra Holmes from DIG yoga and Dhyana while Daniel Cordua, co-owner of Palo Santo Wellness Boutique and teacher at DIG Yoga Garden and Dhyana, will lead a session later in the afternoon. A Kirtan session (yoga chanting) will be taught by Stephanie Berliner and right before sunset, you will be able to enjoy a group meditation class on living your best life lead by Ali Tomlinson of Thrive Yoga. Also, at 1:50 p.m. United by Blue Founder, Brian Linton will speak about how he started his business and why environmental action is so important.
"We have offered large classes in outdoor spaces in the past, but we haven't had this particular event before," explained Amy Sullivan, a key leader at lululemon. "With re.viv.al, our main objective is to gather the community together in movement. Whether they are moved through physical practice, are encouraged through a speaker, find a connection in meditation or just uplifted from being with one another - - our hope is each individual leaves feeling rooted and inspired/encouraged in their contributions to our community."
While the yoga and meditation will feed your soul, sweetgreen and Stripp'd Juice will be on hand to offer food for your body with free salads and juice.
"At lululemon, we strongly believe in giving without expectation. Our community can show up, practice, hear great music, eat a salad by sweetgreen, drink a juice from stripp'd juice or enjoy a coconut water from vita coco all without spending a dime," added Sullivan.
