Buffalo Blanks Temple Women's Soccer, 3-0

BUFFALO, N.Y. – Returning to its five-game road trip, Temple women's soccer dropped a 3-0 decision to the University of New York at Buffalo Bulls on Friday evening in the first match of the team's weekend stay in Western N.Y. The Owls put up a strong offensive effort, ripping 15 shots to the Bulls 14, but Buffalo goalkeepers Ainsley Wheldon and McKenzie White stopped all nine Temple shots on goal, holding them scoreless in the match.

The Owls put up a strong offensive effort, ripping 15 shots to the Bulls 14, but Buffalo goalkeepers Ainsley Wheldon and McKenzie White stopped all nine Temple shots on goal, holding them scoreless in the match.

Roberts had her hand in all three of the Bulls' goals, contributing with assists on the first two Buffalo tallies before scoring a goal herself in the 82nd minute.

Kerr got Buffalo out to a 1-0 lead just before the 9th minute when Roberts flicked ball over a defender's head to lead Kerr with a shot over Murphy.

Trailing by only a goal in the opening minutes of the second half, Thompson expanded on the Buffalo lead in the 50th minute.

Buffalo's Roberts sealed the deal for the Bulls in the 82nd minute with the team's third goal of the night from the left, low right side.

Temple (2-3-0) will head north to Niagara University for Sunday's 11 a.m. match with the Purple Eagles.
