Clothes Mentor, an upscale resale chain, has opened a new store in East Norriton and will be opening two more stores in the Philly metro area.

Unlike other resale or thrift stores, Clothes Mentor only buys clothing in good condition, free of stains, fading and any other irreparable imperfections. Brands are also important at the higher-end resale shop that offers labels like Lilly Pulitzer, Michael Kors and Anthropologie at 70 percent off. Women who sell clothes to Clothes Mentor receive immediate cash instead of handling their items on consignment.

Clothes Mentor's East Norriton location boasts a $900 St. John Collection jacket for $150, a pair of $600 Gucci shoes for $120, and a David Yurman necklace and earrings set, regularly $475 each, for $150 and $190 respectively.

The East Norriton Clothes Mentor location, which opened March 19, is located at 61 E. Germantown Pike, East Norriton. Two other shop locations, in Springfield (Delaware County) and West Chester, have been open since 2014 and 2013 respectively, and yet-to-be-opened stores in Malvern (207 Lancaster Ave.) and Montgomeryville (782 Bethlehem Pike, North Wales) are expected to begin buying clothes this summer and open to sell clothing a couple months afterward.
