More jewels stolen near Cannes Film Festival

Is there something in the water of the French Riviera?

Another jewelry heist took place overnight near the Cannes Film Festival, this time involving the loss of a "high value" necklace in the resort town of Cap d'Antibes. This is the second heist to take place during Cannes. Just last week, thieves snatched about $1 million worth of jewelry from a hotel, after making off with a safe ripped from the wall of the room.

Cannes is known for annually hosting the world's glitziest film festival. The locale is a destination for moguls and Hollywood's elite.
