Report: WrestleMania 31 to be held in Santa Clara

According to multiple reports, WWE has awarded WrestleMania 31 in 2015 to Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

An official announcement on the location of the 2015 WrestleMania is expected to come Tuesday.

The other contender to host the 2015 show was reportedly Philadelphia at Lincoln Financial Field.

The main reason why Philadelphia was beat out by Santa Clara was because Levi's Stadium, the future home of the San Francisco 49ers, will host Super Bowl 50 in 2016. WWE would rather not follow the Super Bowl in the same venue within the same year.

Although WrestleMania 31 in 2015 will apparently be held in Santa Clara, Philadelphia is still supposed to be a top contender to host WrestleMania 32 in 2016.
