Ring of Honor television report (07/08/15): The undisputed champion finally speaks

The undisputed Ring of Honor World champion finally spoke to the people on this past Wednesday's edition of Ring of Honor television, and his time to bask in his own glory was bookended by two entertaining matches.

Despite all of that good stuff, there remains one nagging problem about Ring of Honor's television product that I've brought up in the past, and that is the fact that it is too far behind.

Case in point was Jay Lethal, who won the ROH World title at Best in the World all the way back on June 19, which was 19 days ago.

Instead of immediately capitalizing on such a momentous occasion, Lethal doesn't appear on Ring of Honor's television until more than two weeks later.

I understand that Ring of Honor tapes its television very far in advance, but you have to be ready for major events to take place at pay-per-views and have a quick turnaround on television soon after.

WWE manages to pull this off with NXT, but for whatever reason, Ring of Honor didn't quite get it right with this specific occasion.

Another example was The Kingdom, Michael Bennett and Matt Taven, who were still walking around with the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team titles around their wastes despite losing them this past weekend at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Dominion event.

As for Lethal's segment, it was good and definitely got fans ready for what's to come in Ring of Honor.

One thing that's on the horizon is Lethal defending both the Ring of Honor World and Television titles. Instead of relinquishing one of the titles, Lethal said that he will take pride in defending both.

His first title defense will be next week on television when he defends his Television title against Mark Briscoe.

The No. 1 contender for Lethal's World title, Roderick Strong, interrupted Lethal and the two exchanged some words, but nothing physical took place between the two.

The main event featured an exciting six-man tag, but the story was the soon-to-be breakup of The Kingdom, as Adam Cole seems to be on the outs with the rest of the group, specifically Maria Kanellis.

After losing to reDragon and Michael Elgin, Cole left the ring without his comrades in The Kingdom.

Here are the match results from the show:

- Dalton Castle def. Watanabe

-  Michael Elgin & reDragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Bobby Fish) vs. The Kingdom (Adam Cole, Matt Taven & Michael Bennett)
