TNA Wrestling star Kurt Angle tears ACL, to miss at least four months

TNA Wrestling star Kurt Angle suffered a torn ACL and will have to undergo surgery, the promotion announced Friday.

Angle suffered the injury during a recent taping of Impact Wrestling while participating in a match against Ethan Carter III.

After the news broke, Angle to Twitter to report that the injury will keep him out of action for more than four months.

According to ProWrestling.net, Angle's contract with TNA Wrestling expires in the fall, making his the match against Carter III possibly his last with the promotion.

Angle has been with TNA Wrestling since 2006. His eight-year tenure with the company is now longer than the one he had with WWE.
