AFI finally release new record, come back to Electric Factory

Great news for AFI fans everywhere, tomorrow the bands new album Crash Love will be available for streaming on MySpace. Couple this with a show at the Electric Factory in November and it’s a good time to be an AFI fan in Philadelphia.

Great news for AFI fans everywhere, tomorrow the bands new album Crash Love will be available for streaming on MySpace. Couple this with a show at the Electric Factory in November and it's an especially good time to be an AFI fan in Philadelphia.

The new album, the band's eighth, is just as highly anticipated as their last two; especially since it took another three years to complete. First single "Medicate" somehow sounds like an amalgamation of all of the band's previous material, distilled into one song. Other tracks have appeared online like "Beautiful Thieves" and the surprisingly awesome "End Transmission."

For the first time since 2006, AFI will be on the East Coast this fall so don't pass this up or it might be another three years until you get to see them again. Opening the Electric Factory show are the great UK hardcore newcomers Gallows, so be sure to get there early.

AFI with Gallows, starts at 8pm. 11.12.09 at the Electric Factory, 7th and Willow. Tickets: $27.50. All ages.
