Brooklyn Flea Market coming to Philly, first weekend in June

The Brooklyn Flea Market has been one of New York City's top attractions since it's premiere in April of 2008.

Every single weekend – from April until November – the flea market has been home to hundreds of the top vendors specializing in antiques, vintage, collectibles, jewelry and arts. The New York Times has even called it "One of the great urban experiences in New York."

Now this "great urban experience" is coming to you, Philadelphia.

This spring, the Brooklyn Flea Market is kicking off the first Philly event on Sunday, June 2nd. The inaugural event will feature 100 of the region's finest purveyors of antiques, vintage clothing, furniture handmade goods—plus an impressive line-up of delicious eats — to The Piazza at Schmidt's every Sunday from 10 am – 5 pm.

Some of the featured vendors include At Home Modern, Chairloom, Circa Dee, The Paint Wagon and Romantic Vintage Home; just to name a few.

And it wouldn't be a Philly premiere without the king himself, Questlove. The Roots' drummer will be entertaining the crowd on stage at The Piazza. Stephan Starr and Quest premiered their NYC food stand last week; and local fans are hoping to get a taste of his chicken at the June 2nd event.
