Urban Saloon (2120 Fairmount Ave.) invites professionals in the marketing field to connect with five local associations on Wednesday, March 4 during the Market Alliance of Philadelphia's Networking Event. Companies to meet include: BMAPhilly, MENG, PAMA, PhillyDMA and PhIMA.
In advertising? Whether you're a word-savvy copywriter, a graphic designer, or an inspirational account manager, on Thursday, March 5 the 2015 Addy Awards take place at Union Trust (717 Chestnut St.). This evening dedicated to celebrating the best in the biz kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the award ceremony for Best of Print, Digital, Self-Promotion, and more from 8 to 9:15 p.m. A post-party will start immediately after the event. Update: This event has been postponed until Thursday, March 12.
On Tuesday, March 10, get social at Tavern on Broad (200 S. Broad St.) with young professionals during the Ultimate Networking Party. Entry to the event gets you a free drink, light appetizers, and a chance to mingle with a wide variety of tri-state-area business professionals. The party starts at 6 p.m.
If you're an aspiring student looking to make new connections, consider joining the Young Professionals Network. Meet new faces and join the club on Wednesday, March 11 as they host a New Members Orientation at 5 p.m. The meeting takes place at the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce (200 S. Broad St., Suite 300).
In partnership with Philabundance, the YPConnected group hosts Network to End Hunger on Thursday, March 12 at the Union League of Philadelphia (140 S. Broad St.). Entry to the event not only goes toward a good cause, but is an opportunity to build your networking list. The evening starts at 6 p.m. and includes food, drink, and live entertainment.
Brewing powerhouse, Samuel Adams makes a stop in Philadelphia for their event: Brewing the American Dream Speed Coaching event on Monday, March 16 at the Reading Terminal Market (51 N. 12th St.). The session will connect those interested in the food, hospitality, and beverage field. The workshop will start at 7 p.m., followed by 20-minute information speed sessions with Sam Adams employees and small-business owners.
Make friends with the Network After Work group on Thursday, March 19 at the Union Trust Steakhouse (717 Chestnut St.). This monthly meeting will link guests up with entrepreneurs, new business owners, strategists, and more. The event starts at 6 p.m. and includes one courtesy cocktail and appetizers.
Decision makers and owners will fill the Pennsylvania Convention Center (1101 Arch St.) on Thursday, March 19 during the Small Business Expo. Attendees will be able to build their connection list, meet new clients, and even brainstorm future career opportunities. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
On Monday, March 30, the first segment of a three-day marketing event, How to Play on a Global Stage will take place at the Science Center (3711 Market St., 8th Floor) starting at 6 p.m. Guests will learn about the value of patents, trademarks, copyrights, and doing business internationally. Country representatives dealing with the topic include: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Finland, and the United States.
Mayor Michael Nutter invites the Young Professionals group for a discussion titled "Unplugged" on Tuesday, March 31. This 8th annual talk will revolve around what impact future graduates have on Philadelphia and how they can play a the role in improving the city. The speech will be followed by a business card swap and discussion that starts at 6 p.m. at Pipeline Philly (30 South, 15th Floor).
