Being a mother is a 24/7 responsibility that rarely gives you time off even for a cup of coffee or a shower without any interruptions; so, it is natural for your one special day all year to want some time for yourself, whether it is to sleep in for a few hours or to have a couple of hours completely to yourself. Inevitably though, after a little while of "me" time, you are going to be looking to see what your rugrats are up to. So here is a list of family fun you can share in with your kids.  After all, you wouldn't be a mother without them, right?

If you think sleeping in is overrated, then set your alarm clock for the Mother's Day Bird Walk on Sunday, May 11 at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge.  Volunteer tour guides will take you on an early morning walk that starts at  8 a.m. Make sure you wear your walking shoes and dress for the weather.

If your family loves the outdoors, why not make a weekend of it? The Little Red Barn Campground in Quakertown is hosting a Mother's Day Camping Weekend.  Starting on Friday, May 9 and lasting until Sunday, May 11, there will be as much family togetherness as you can handle.  There will be special breakfast for moms on Saturday morning and during Family Movie Night, you get popcorn for free. Your kids will also get the chance to make you something special during kids' craft time.

If you love history and are looking for something family-friendly to do in Philly, then check out the Betsy Ross House's Mother's Day Tea Party with Betsy Ross on Saturday, May 10.  There are also many craft shows and spring festivals this weekend as well that have fun activities for kids and moms alike.

In Mullica Hill, NJ, the Free Gloucester County Craftsmen & Home Show hosted by the Gloucester County 4H will run on Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is a pet-friendly event; so, bring your family pet (He is a part of the family too, right?) and stay for the all breed dog parade.
