Franklin Flea to make suburban debut at Plymouth Meeting Mall

Philly's Franklin Flea is hitting the suburbs.

While Philly's Franklin Flea is set to re-open outdoors on 8th and Market Streets, it isn't restricting itself to city limits. Montgomery County is getting its own indoor version of the weekly shopping event.

Beginning at the end of the month, Plymouth Meeting Mall will play host to a temporary indoor Franklin Flea. It will operate on two consecutive weekends: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, March 28, 29, 30 and April 4, 5, 6, from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sundays. Each day will feature 15-20 prime, handpicked vendors who will be selling antiques, vintage and repurposed furniture, collectibles, vintage clothing, jewelry, and handmade goods.

"We're thrilled that Franklin Flea founder Mark Vevle recognized the appeal that Plymouth Meeting Mall has as the perfect venue for this unique concept," says mall marketing director Jessica Saphire. "The mall has been completely transformed over the past several years into a shopping, dining and entertainment destination, so it's only fitting that we continue our trend down this innovative path to bring our shoppers Franklin Flea, the fresh and modern shopping experience that shouldn't be missed this spring."

If you're hungry, the mall has partnered with Whole Foods Market to bring visitors a delicious gourmet taco and donut stand each day.
