Guess the Philly street in Passion Pit’s new video
Today, electro-pop band Passion Pit released their video for “Take A Walk” from their forthcoming record Gossamer. Can you guess what Philadelphia street makes an appearance?
Passion Pit's Michael Angelakos said "From now on, I want every music video to be like it's own short film" so for their new video for "Take A Walk" Angelakos teamed up with Creators Project and emerging British director David Wilson, who has previous lent his unique film talents to the likes of Metronomy and The Maccabees. What did they come up with? Well, the video is essentially a trip through the clouds, suburb streets, city rooftops, and all of the buildings and trees in-between. Using new helicam technology the video takes the vantage point of a bouncing ball soaring through the sky. It's basically an artistic version of a scroll through Google Street View. And what street are we looking at? We'll let you take a guess, because it just so happens parts of this video were filmed right here in Philly. (Here's a hint – it's in Northern Liberties.) Besides our city's appearance, though, the video is a pretty cool gimpse into the seemingly new direction the electro-pop band is heading for their new record Gossamer, set to drop on July 24.
