Local musicians to perform for free at Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest

As if we needed another reason to freakishly, obsessively love Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest, we now have another reason: Free. Fireside. Performances.

Once a month, local bands and musicians will gather around the toasty fireplaces and plush seating in the space's Lodge for an evening of sweet sounds.

The chilled-out affairs begin at 8 p.m. on Saturdays Dec. 13, Jan. 17 and Feb. 21.

Dec. 13 sees a set from Chelsea Reed and the Fairweather Five and Rockers Galore. In January, see Son Little and Dirty Dollhouse. Round things out in February with performances from Brielle and Paper Hearts.

All shows are free (except if you want some food or a beverage) and open to all ages.
