For nimble hands: Keeping in line with recent exhibit "Ink and Gold: Art of the Kano," master the paper-folding art of origami at the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

For active gals: All levels lady runners — meet at Dilworth Park (1 S. 15th St.) at 6:30 p.m. for a three-mile Center City run led by City Fit Girls.

For a local spotlight: Every Wednesday at World Café Live at the Queen  (500 N. Market St., Wilmington), Del.'s best come to show off their best in music, comedy, poetry and more, starting at 7 p.m. Check it out and register to perform at next week's showcase.

For a preview: Before the Cinedelphia Film Festival begins next week, get a sample of some of the program's highlights at a preview party at PhilaMOCA (531 N. 12th St.) starting at 7:30 p.m. with free Red Bull, Herr's Potato Chips and bites from Salumeria.

For nerds: Planes, improv, stardust. Not just any three topics, but the three that will be discussed at Frankford Hall (1210 Frankford Ave.) for Nerd Nite, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
