#PhillyFive Things to Do: Dec. 12, 2014

‘Tis the season to be jolly, after all.

'Tis the season to be jolly, after all.

For lunch: Get to LOVE Park (15th and JFK) by noon for a free lunchtime performance from the BridgeSet Sound. While you're there, shop the vendors at the Christmas Village, the open-air German market currently calling the park home.

For an illuminated treat: Come see the Holiday Garden Railway lit for the season at the Morris Arboretum (100 E. Northwestern Ave.), beginning at 4:30 p.m.

For dinner: Would you like some wine with that? The Mad Batter (19 Jackson St., Cape May, N.J.) is hosting a holiday wine dinner with five courses of seasonal fare (butternut squash soup, coffee braised buffalo short rib, et. al.) paired with wine, starting at 5:30 p.m.

For happy hour: Santa meets go-go at the Trestle Inn (11th and Callowhill Streets), where for three hours, starting at 6 p.m., the bar's resident go-go dancer will hit the block while you sip on seasonal cocktails (like the Hot Sailor: Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum and Spiced Butter).

For a sleep over: YouTuber Tyler Oakley brings his vlogs (and fabulous hair) on the road during his first-ever live tour featuring all the secret-sharing, game-playing joys of a slumber party. Except you have to go home after. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Keswick Theatre (291 N. Keswick Ave., Glenside, Pa.).
