#PhillyFive Things to Do: Dec. 13, 2014

This is cool. Very cool.

This is cool. Very cool.

For a spot of tea: Pinkies out! Its time for tea at Glen Foerd Mansion (5001 Grant Ave.) hosts an adults-only traditional tea set to holiday music performed on the mansion's antique Steinway. Very classy. Tea runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

For families: Second Saturdays at Second State Press (1400 N. American St.) have become a running feature since September, welcoming families for free art projects. This month, kids six and older and their parents can use printmaking techniques to create personalized cards and envelopes from noon to 2 p.m.

For pups: You'll never know what kind of bone your dog wants for Christmas if you don't take 'em to see Santa at Alphabet Garden (1631 E. Passyunk Ave.) for pics with the big guy, starting at 1 p.m.

For a chilling activity: Not restricted to simply water, Fairmount Water Works (640 Waterworks Dr.) delves into the science behind snow and ice during their Science Saturday sessions that run every 30 minutes from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. today. Snowflake making included!

For adult entertainment: Santa? Striptease?! Fortunately (or unfortunately, depending on which way you look at it) it comes to you at 8 p.m. tonight courtesy of Tribe of Fools. Their yearly holiday burlesque show will feature some of the city's best male and female burlesque dancers, song, dance and comedy at Plays and Players Theatre (1714 Delancey St.).
