No hide and seek here: All the entertainment is out in the open.
No hide and seek here: All the entertainment is out in the open.
For new parents: Or old parents. The only requirement is a baby and a stroller. Take your tot on a trail walk at the Silver Lake Nature Center (1306 Bath Rd., Bristol, Pa.) starting at 10 a.m. Pack a lunch and chow down following the stroll.
For a spooky saunter: Learn about Laurel Hill Cemetery's (3822 Ridge Ave.) history through a guided informational tour departing at 10 a.m.
For a workshop: Peruvian sound artist Maria Chavez will lead a free two-hour workshop focusing on experimental turntablism, sound art and improvisation at Girls Rock Philly (1867 Frankford Ave.) at 4:30 p.m. Girls Rock Philly, a nonprofit empowering young women through music, will also receive proceeds from tonight's Discwoman Philly event.
For a tasting: Whiskey, cheese and chocolate doesn't sound so bad for a Friday night. Taste a little bit of this, a little bit of that at the Colonial Theater's (227 Bridge St., Phoenixville, Pa.) 8th Annual Robert Burns Memorial Whisky Tasting, beginning at 6 p.m.
For a legend: One half of Hall and Oates — John Oates — will perform a solo set at the Stephen J. Buck Memorial Theater (182 York Rd., New Hope, Pa.) at 8 p.m. tonight.
