There’s nothing haunted about this Friday the 13th.
There's nothing haunted about this Friday the 13th.
For the time of your life: Before "Dirty Dancing" opens at the Academy of Music on March 24, at the Kimmel Center (Broad and Spruce Streets) at noon for a "Dirty Lunch," to learn dance moves from the musical, to play trivia and to compete in a watermelon-carrying contest.
For a tasting: Feeling cheesy? Taste four fresh and locally made cheeses paired with selected beverages at Greensgrow Farms (2501 E. Cumberland St.) beginning at 7 p.m. In addition to the tasty bites, you'll learn about the cheesemaking process.
For a tour kickoff: New Jersey's Delicate Steve begins his tour tonight at MilkBoy (1100 Chestnut St.) at 8:30 p.m. Be prepared for the multi-instrumentalist to take you on a guitar-ridden journey.
For a fright: In honor of Friday the 13th, the Colonial Theatre (227 Bridge St., Phoenixville) is hosting a viewing of "Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives," starting at 9:45 p.m.
For a party: The only catch is, you've got to show up in your best '80s attire. Enjoy groovy tunes, burlesque and comedy. The times get rolling at 10 p.m. at the Trocadero (1003 Arch St.).
