#PhillyFive Things to Do: March 31, 2015

Hopefully making you forget today is a Tuesday.

Hopefully making you forget today is a Tuesday.

For a primetime affair: Meet two of the stars of FOX's "Empire," Jussie Smollet (Jamal Lyon) and Philly native Yazz the Greatest — born Bryshere Gray — (Hakeem Lyon) at FYE Broad Street (100 S. Broad St.) at 4 p.m. To score a wristband, you've got to purchase an "Empire" Season 1 soundtrack at FYE.

For singles: Forget Tinder. This is how it's done IRL. Solo folks ages 24 to 39 can meet dozens of folks at this 7 p.m. speed date night at the Victoria Freehouse (10 S. Front St.)

For a viewing party: Chef Christine Hazel of Chickie's and Pete's will be joined by fellow chefs and "Hell's Kitchen" contestants Michelle Tribble, Alison Rivera, Adam Livow and Chef T. for a live viewing of episode five of "Hell's Kitchen" starting at 7 p.m. at Chickie's and Pete's (1526 Packer Ave.). In addition to the show, taste new dishes from Hazel as seen on the show.

For dark pop: Be prepared for the haunting, wise-beyond-her-years music from Halsey, 20-year-old Ashley Frangipane, who plays Underground Arts (1200 Callowhill) with Young Rising Sons and Olivver. Doors open at 7 p.m.

For an anniversary: To round out Women's History Month, a chat on Tracy Lord, the main character of "The Philadelphia Story," Katharine Hepburn, the actress who the role was written for, and Hope Montgomery Scott, the real-life Min Line socialite who inspired the role, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Widener Center Lecture Hall at Cabrini College (610 King of Prussia Rd., Wayne).
