Project Basho artist talk with Shelby Lee Adams

This Friday, November 12 at 7pm, Project Basho will host acclaimed environmental portrait photographer Shelby Lee Adams for a presentation of his work.

This Friday, November 12 at 7pm, Project Basho will host acclaimed environmental portrait photographer Shelby Lee Adams for a presentation of his work.  Admission is $10 for the general public, $5 for students and Friends of Project Basho, and free for students of Adams' weekend workshop on Environmental Portraiture.

Adams, a native Kentuckian, has spent decades documenting family life in the traditional mountain communities of Appalachia.  He is the recipient of numerous awards including this year's Guggenheim Photography Fellowship and has authored several monographs.

Movie Night: The Five Obstructions
Join PB next Wednesday, November 17 at 7pm for a free screening of "The Five Obstructions", Lars von Trier's extraordinary collaboration with director Jørgen Leth. The film documents von Trier's challenge to his creative mentor, to remake his own short film, five separate times, with a series of increasingly torturous imposed obstacles.

As always, Movie Night is free and open to the public. Bring a friend!
