The Garden State Discovery Museum (2040 Springdale Rd.) in Cherry Hill is a place to consider when taking the kids out, here are some exhibits they can enjoy.

Dinosaurium

These prehistoric creatures aren't around on earth anymore, but they're in museums. Kids can climb inside a giant skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex, dig up fossils, and become the next great Paleontologist.

Flyers Rink

Kids can take a slap shot, score a goal, commentate a game, and get in shape at this interactive exhibit. Besides the hockey rink, kids can also shoot hoops in the basketball court located in the museum.

Subaru Science Shop

Turn into a whiz-kid at this science zone and test scientific theories, explore a mystic light and dark room, and interact with numerous engineering activities.

Little Discoveries

Geared specifically for the tots ages 1 to 4, this exhibit takes children into a barnyard for a good ol' time featuring an interactive farmhouse, a pig pen, horse feeding, and more country action.

Wildlife

Kids can take a walk on the wild side and come close and personal with bugs, reptiles, and snakes followed by a live animal show each day.

Wholesome Pickings

Take a break from the Sunday food shopping and let your children take control at this miniature farmstand where they can pick produce and weigh it, followed by cashing out at the register.

Discovery Theatre Presents Old MacDonald

On Nov. 8, 15, 22, 28, 29, the museum presents an original play about Ronald MacDonald, a homestead farmer who wants to discover the big city. Kids are encouraged to sit back and watch Ronald embark on his journey through song and dance. The play is at noon and 3 p.m.

Museum hours are Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., Saturday 9:30 a.m.-8:30 p.m., and Sunday 9:30 a.m. -5:30 p.m.
