Return of the Franklin Flea, beer bash, roller derby and more event picks for this weekend

The three-day Farm Festival sets up shop at The Oval, starting Thursday, April 17 through Saturday, April 19. Saturday's events start at 11 a.m. and feature a petting zoo, kids tree climb, Easter egg hunt, clogging workshop and local libations lounge, serving up cider and beer from local farms and brewers Frecon Farms and The Other Farm Brewing Company. As an added bonus, the festival has partnered with Uber and new users can get a free ride ($20 max).

Parents and children with a love for art will enjoy Wanye Art Center's Two for Art introduces toddlers to the creative world with projects, stories and music, starting at 9:30 a.m on Saturday, April 19.

The historic Strawbridge's building will hold the first Franklin Flea of the season on Saturday, April 19, with doors opening at 10 a.m., where shoppers can get their hands on vintage and antique furniture, clothing and collectibles. Each weekend, the market celebrates a different Philadelphia restaurant and for opening day, High Street on Market will be the eatery of choice.

Memphis Taproom opens their beer garden season at their 6th Annual Beer Bash on Saturday, April 19. They'll also be unveiling their newest beer, brewed especially for the taproom by Victory Brewing Company. Check it out, starting at noon.

For a darker twist on the typical city tour, book an afternoon excursion with Grim Philly on Saturday, April 19, where you'll visit landmarks marked by eerie legends, stop by the graves of our founding fathers and cap off the afternoon with beer and bites. Tours depart from the Independence Visitor Center and run from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m.

For a unique spectating event, the Penn Jersey She Devils Roller Derby team takes on the Pennsylvania All-Stars at the Penn Jersey Roller Derby Warehouse on Saturday, April 19. Be there as these all-female teams square off at 5 p.m. Doors open an hour prior.

Greensgrow Farms celebrates the season with their spring plant and produce pop-up shop in Sister Cities Park this Sunday, April 20. It starts at 10 a.m. and bring the kids, too: there's a seed craft activity as well.

Aside from Record Store Day on Saturday, April 19, there are also plenty of non-RSD concerts to attend. Fergie's Pub, Milkboy Philadelphia, Chris' Jazz Café and TIME Restaurant are all hosting jazz performers throughout the day on Saturday, April 19 for Center City Jazz Festival. Philly native Christina Perri brings her infectious hit, "Jar of Hearts," to the Electric Factory on Saturday, April 19 at 6:30 p.m. If you have an ear for something a little heavier, try Chiodos at the Trocodero at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 19. Finally, singer/songwriter Dan Croll performs at Union Transfer on Sunday, April 20 at 8:30 p.m.
