Sunday funday: First-ever Old City Fest
The inaugural Old City Fest, an event organized by Old City District and held in coordination with DesignPhiladelphia, takes over Arch Street between 2nd and 4th Streets and 3rd Street between Race and Market Streets for a day highlighting the neighborhood’s favorite shopping, art, theater and food establishments.
It's time we give Old City a little festival love. The inaugural Old City Fest, an event organized by Old City District and held in coordination with DesignPhiladelphia, takes over Arch Street between 2nd and 4th Streets and 3rd Street between Race and Market Streets for a day highlighting the neighborhood's favorite shopping, art, theater and food establishments.
Running from noon until 6 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12, around 100 vendors will line the streets (that'll be closed to traffic, by the way), here are a few you can expect:

Elsewhere, the old "Real World" house, now Design Space at Trust (249 Arch St.), will be stylized with the interior designs from 25 Old City shops, including The Clay Studio, LGTripp Gallery, Petit Jardin en Ville, OLC and more.
See pop-up performances from The Philadelphia Dance Academy, Circus Dance Company, an all-male Madonna cover band, a fashion show, stay for kids activities, chocolate demonstrations, the list goes on and on.
