Tegan and Sara's outrage against Tyler the Creator provokes twitter backlash

Tyler the Creator's most recent inappropriate tweet targets Tegan and Sara as a response to the duo speaking out against Tyler and Odd Future.

If you happened to catch a glimpse of Tyler the Creator's most recent epically inappropriate tweet, you were probably wondering what provoked it. Or actually, no, you probably weren't wondering that, you probably just assumed it was Tyler being himself, as it's nothing new for him to tweet random outbursts of his twisted thoughts. This time though, it wasn't completely random. Tyler's tweet directed towards Tegan and Sara was actually a response to the post that Sara Quin wrote on the Tegan and Sara website. In the post, Quin addresses her outrage for Tyler the Creator and his lyrics full of homophobia, sexual assault, and hateful fantasies.

Here's a piece of Quin's post:

"It is not without great hesitation and hand wringing that I enter into the discourse about Tyler, the media who glorifies and excuses misogyny and homophobia, and the community of artists that doesn't seem remotely bothered by it. I can only hope that someone reading this might be inspired to speak out. At the very least, I will know that my voice is on record."

Like everything else Odd Future, we can expect to some heavy media coverage; and whether you support Odd Future or not, Quin's message can be easily understood. Check out the entire post on the Tegan and Sara website here.
