35 years later, mugger apologizes to victim on Facebook
Way back in the late '70s, a teenager named Michael Goodman took a break from burning disco records (or whatever else teenagers were doing back then) and walked up the steps of the Museum of Natural History in New York and mugged a man for his bus pass. There were undercover police officers nearby and Goodman was immediately taken into custody.

Flash forward to 2013, when Goodman was perusing Facebook and saw a story about a bagel shop closing that included a quote from the victim of his poor mugging attempt some 30 years prior. Goodman used the opportunity to apologize and this is the part when you're supposed to "awwww" and then pay it forward.
