CHOP receives donation from Devon and Leah Still

Devon Still and his daughter Leah donated a check for $141,428.53 to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia Tuesday.

Devon Still and his daughter Leah donated a check for $141,428.53 to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia on Tuesday.

For every tackle the Cincinnati Bengals DT made last season (19), along with other donations, their Pledge It campaign raised the money for CHOP's cancer research and aid for patients' families struggling financially.

Despite Still's announcement in March that she was cancer-free, Leah is currently undergoing treatments at CHOP after suffering complications from a stem-cell transplant a few weeks ago.

Still, a Camden, N.J., native and Penn State alum, has been documenting his 5-year-old daughter's battle with cancer through social media since her diagnosis in 2014. From his pre-surgery pep talk to giving an update on her current status, the Stills have shown the ups and downs of what childhood cancer is like.

They've gained significant spotlight not only in the Philadelphia area but across the nation. Chip Kelly and the Eagles sent Leah a gift basket last September and in April she was honored at a spring football game at Temple, where she participated in the coin toss.

Ellen DeGeneres caught wind of Leah's battle last October and presented a $10,000 check for CHOP.

On Monday, ESPN announced they will honor the Stills at this year's ESPY Awards with the Jimmy V Perseverance Award.
