'Family Guy' reimagines 'Cosby Show' with suggestive opening

Peter Griffin succinctly summarizes the gist of Bill Cosby's now-ravaged legacy, first as a barrier-breaking black comedian, and then as an alleged serial sexual assaulter.

"I was so busy not seeing color," Peter, the animated star of Family Guy said, "I didn't see the raping either."

Family Guy spared no subtlety Sunday night in creator Seth MacFarlane's depiction of The Cosby Show: What We Know Now, showing fictional "updated" Cosby Show opening credits. The 30-second clip shows an animated Cosby Show cast, but that's not the only difference between the Family Guy depiction and the real Cosby Show credits.

All of the characters, other than Bill Cosby, in the "what we know now" Cosby Show credits are knocked out or failing fast. An animated Phylicia Rashad, who played Claire Huxtable, is shown slumped on a chair, as are animated versions of Lisa Bonet and Tempestt Bledsoe, both of whom played Cosby's television daughters.

Cosby has been accused by more than 50 women of sexual assault. He has not been charged with a crime in any of the alleged incidents and through his attorneys has denied any wrongdoing.
