Kevin Hart retires from NBA Celebrity All-Star Game, wants Mo’ne Davis ‘checked for substances’

Last week, comedian Kevin Hart went up against Taney Dragons phenom Mo'ne Davis for the NBA Celebrity All-Star Game and took home his fourth MVP award. But given the way Davis made Hart's knees bang together with that crazy spin move, no one seemed to notice.

Now, Hart is taking his leave of the annual Celebrity Game and retiring.

He discussed as much this week on the Jim Rome Show, initially telling host Rome that his family needs him:

"I'm officially retired from the Celebrity All-Star Game," Hart told The Jim Rome Show. "I can't do it anymore, I've done all there is to do, my kids are happy, they feel like their dad went out on top. I think if I go back it's only going to get worse, I can't go down, I can only go up, and I left with a bang. I did what all the greats say you should do."

But then Hart admits that Davis played a large role in his decision:

The actor then admitted the real reason why he's walking away from the game, 13-year old phenom, Mo'ne Davis.

"That little girl embarrassed me on live television," said Hart. "It's only going to get worse if I keep going back. I don't want to see what's going to happen next."

Before he goes, though, he jokingly suggests that Davis be tested for performance-enhancing drugs. She is, after all, "too good:"

"First of all, she showed me my legs aren't as strong as they should be, because she bumped me and I lost balance real fast and then she spun on me," said Hart. "Basically, any 13-year-old girl that can throw an 80 mile-per-hour fastball, something's wrong. I want the girl checked for substances, I said it. I want her checked, the girl's too good."

Don't fret about Hart's retirement too much, though — he's still sticking around for our entertainment. His next TV gig, host of the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber, happens March 30.
