Memphis news station accidentally tweets out porn link

Memphis television station WREG-TV is now ensconced in its own very public “Porngate” scandal after the news station tweeted a link to a PornHub user account rather than the weather forecast link to which the tweet referred.

Memphis television station WREG-TV is now ensconced in its own very public "Porngate" scandal after the news station tweeted a link to a PornHub user account rather than the weather forecast link to which the tweet referred.

WREG-TV quickly removed and apologized for the link mix-up, but not before Twitter users could get a few laughs off on the television station's @3onyourside Twitter account and the PornHub user, "rockbone."

The WREG-TV staff didn't exactly take ownership for the tweet and, after apologizing, seemed to blame it on a hacker.

Whoever the culprit, the Memphis news station staffers were good sports, taking the time to for some philanthropic damage control:

PornHub got in on the action, too, tweeting to @3onyourside for a little shameless self-promotion.
