More Louis C.K. shows coming to FX networks

Louis C.K. has been rewarded for his general greatness with a new deal with FX. The comedian/actor/modern philosopher will act as executive producer for shows created by his Pig Newton production company for FX.

Today's proof that there is a just and loving God who is actually concerned with the goings on down here in this lowly plane of existence is the announcement that Louis C.K. has been rewarded for his general greatness with a new deal with FX. The agreement indicates that the comedian/actor/exemplary parent/modern philosopher will act as executive producer for additional shows created by his Pig Newton production company for the FX family of networks. While the deal doesn't guarantee that he'll write, direct, or star in any of them, it does give him the option to do so.

Fingers crossed.

With C.K. still focused on Louie for now, it's more likely he and production partner Blair Breard will use the deal to bring in new writers and producers to FX. FX Networks chief John Landgraf hinted at just such a plan in his announcement, saying he was eager to see "who he brings through our door." The new deal doesn't cover any future seasons of Louie, which has only been picked up through its fourth season (set to premiere in May). [Vulture]
