Philly ranks No. 9 for kinkiest U.S. city
Another day, another list for Philly to grace its presence on.
This time we came in at No. 9 for kinkiest U.S. cities. Nope, this is not a joke. Kink University (also, not a joke) did their homework on this subject.
In what they are calling "The 2015 Kink University State of the Union," 50 major U.S. cities (populations over 500,000) were evaluated by very specific criteria:
"(as measured by active members on kink social network Fetlife), the percentage of the population that identifies as kinky, the number of kink-aware professionals (therapists, doctors, lawyers) listed on the NCSF's excellent resource directory, and by the porn purchases of their inhabitants, using data from Kink.com."
But No. 9 wasn't all for Philly. Our city was in the top five for total "kink-indentified population," a whopping 27, 411, and also made the top-10 cities in just about every other category.
