Questlove appears on ‘Parks and Recreation’ as Donna’s estranged brother, Levondrius

Anybody who knows Questlove, drummer to the legendary Roots crew, can tell you that the man loves himself some "Parks and Recreation." In fact, back in 2009, he compared the show’s cast to the Wu-Tang Clan by ticking off each actors Clan counterpart. So, really, it was only a matter of time before he made an appearance.

Anybody who knows Questlove, drummer to the legendary Roots crew, can tell you that the man loves himself some Parks and Recreation. In fact, back in 2009, he compared the show's cast to the Wu-Tang Clan by ticking off each actors Clan counterpart. So, really, it was only a matter of time before he made an appearance.

And on last night's episode, "Donna and Joe," he did — as Donna's estranged, much-hated brother, Levondrius.

Questlove's character is one that has long been a part of Parks and Rec lore, with Donna (played by actress/comedian Retta) first bringing him up in the 2011 episode "Ron and Tammy: Part 2" to show favorite Ron Swanson.

"I love you like a brother," Donna tells Ron at one point in that episode. "But right now, I hate you like my actual brother, Levondrius. Who I hate."

Until last night, however, Levondrius was never mentioned again.

The episode itself revolves around Donna's wedding to Joe, who is played by Penn State grad Keegan-Michael Key of Key and Peele fame. Naturally, being a family event for Donna, her family shows up, include Levondrius and rapper Ginuwine, who we previously learned is Donna's cousin.

Sadly, though, Donna and Levondrius do not reunite peacefully, largely over what the show refers to as a "microwave incident." To find out what the means exactly, check out the episode below.
