Sad dads at One Direction concerts are the saddest dads to ever sad

They say it takes a village to raise a child. Well, the whole village isn't going to be able to score tickets to see One Direction live in concert, so it's up to the sad dads of America to chaperone gaggles of squealing tweens to arenas typically used to host professional sporting events to take in the musical offerings of Harry Styles and company.

While attending One Direction's recent gig at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Vice West Coast editor-photographer Jamie Taete spent his evening doing the Lord's work, documenting the saddest dads to ever sad.
