Sarah Palin says Tina Fey ‘should be paying for my kids’ braces’

Back in the mid-2000s, Upper Darby's Tina Fey made a name for herself on Saturday Night Live as, among other things, the greatest Sarah Palin impersonator alive. Now, with the "SNL 40" special wrapped, Palin says that maybe the comedian owes her a little scratch.

"Have I helped her career or has she helped mine?" Palin asks in a report from the New York Daily News. "I keep thinking, man, Tina, you should be paying my kids' braces or something."

Palin, of course, is referring to how the two women's careers coalesced in 2008, with Palin seeking the Vice Presidency, and Fey mocking her the whole way. But while Palin has ultimately dropped out of any political office since then, Fey, 44, very much remains a comedian. One so good, in fact, that Palin, 51, herself is still fooled by the impression.

"Really, I'll do a double take every time I see her, an old rerun, or a picture of her," Palin said. "I'm like, man, oh, it's Tina, yeah."

Even if she doesn't get the back pay or braces payments, Palin says that she steadfast remains a fan of Fey, a woman who she cannot help but "really respect."

"I think she's great," Palin told the NY Daily News. "I got to talk to her again today and brought her girls some Alaska Grown sweatshirts and hoodies. I really respect her; she's good."
