Sandor Strugl is a 28-year-old actor who plays Peter Pan in Peter Pan: The Never Ending Story, a musical adaptation of the classic story.
During a recent performance at the Hydro in Glasgow, Sturgl stopped mid-show to propose to his girlfriend, actress Lily-Jane Young, with whom he was sharing the stage, as Young is the show's Wendy. Sturgl arranged for Young's family to be in attendance and broke-up the play's usual ending by professing his love for Young and offering her a blue sapphire and diamond engagement ring.
This is the part when you're supposed to sob uncontrollably.
Lilly-Jane, from Cumbernauld, near Glasgow, said: "I'm thrilled. I feel like the luckiest girl alive and I can't wait to marry Sandor."
The couple met while working on the arena tour of the £10million musical Peter Pan: The Never Ending Story, which stars former X Factor singer Stacey Solomon.
Sandor said he had been thinking about proposing for a while.
But he wanted to do it in front of his sweetheart's home audience.
He said; "We've toured all over the world and when we found out the show was coming to Glasgow, Lilly-Jane was so excited. When I went to pick out a ring, I spotted one called the Wendy design. [Daily Record]
Usually this kind of thing comes across as misguided and insufferable, but this is so damn wonderful that I can't even, right now. [h/t BuzzFeed]
