Tina Fey returned to "Saturday Night Live" over the weekend to host a rare round of Weekend Update for the show’s 40th anniversary special, appearing alongside fellow SNL trailblazers Amy Poehler and Jane Curtin for a show-stealing sketch.

"Hosts and cast members from as far back as 1975 are with us tonight," Fey said at the start of the sketch. "Also joining us, one of the show's original producers: cocaine."

Fey and Poehler initially anchored Weekend Update together from 2004 to 2006, an opportunity Curtin opened up for them after having served as the first female Weekend Update anchor back in the 70s. Since then, it has developed a reputation for being the show's most satirical exhibition, largely thanks to these women's work.

The 40th anniversary edition had some of that, sure, but this Weekend Update was mostly about the celebrity cameos. Emma Stone, for example, stopped by to pay tribute to Gilda Radner's beloved Roseanne Roseannadanna:

But the ultimate moment came at Weekend Update's end, when the dreaded Land Shark — a character first popularized on SNL's first season in response to Jaws — showed up at the door to devour poor Tina Fey:
