Step Brothers and Talladega Nights co-stars Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly are getting the Prestige Worldwide band back together for a new comedy. The film will pit the two comedians as friends who bonded over a shared love of the hooligans' holiday, Mischief Night.
After a falling out over the holiday and 15 years of estrangement, the two guys have to work together to save their neighborhood on the hallowed eve. The movie is called Devil's Night because people from Philly and Jersey are the only people on the planet who call October 30th Mischief Night.
News of the project trickled out on Tuesday when writers Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul sold a TV series titled "All Business" to Fox. While a logline wasn't available at the time, TheWrap has obtained plot details from an individual familiar with the project.
As Halloween purists may have guessed, "Devil's Night" is set on October 30, when the real mischief and debauchery goes down. The unofficial holiday made Leonard and Gabe best friends as children, though it would eventually be responsible for tearing them apart. 15 years later, with Devil's Night growing out of control, they must put their differences aside and reunite to save their neighborhood from utter destruction.
