Nicholas Gilewicz was named director of cultural arts programs. He was a program officer with the Pennsylvania Humanities Council, working on its Commonwealth Speakers program.

Elliot M. Smith was named vice president, funds development, of the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A). He was vice president for development for Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services, Austin, Texas.

The Pep Boys - Manny, Moe and Jack named Michael Odell executive vice president and chief operating officer. He was executive vice president and general manager of Sears Retail & Specialty Stores.

Scott Webb was named senior vice president - merchandising and marketing. He was vice president, merchandising and customer satisfaction, at AutoZone.

Devon IT, a King of Prussia provider of thin client terminals, named Bill Horrocks chief operating officer. He cofounded Home Central, an Internet-based monitoring and automation platform for homes and small businesses.

Wayne Flaggs was named executive vice president of business development. He had been vice president of worldwide sales for IBM's System x and blades businesses.
