He had been vice chairman of the department of surgical oncology and served as acting chair of the department from Jan. 1, 2008, to the present.

Cooper Health System named

as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer. A former hospital chief executive and chief operating officer, he holds an MBA from Ball State University, and was named "CFO of the Year" by Modern Healthcare in 1992.
